This lithograph was created in response to the terrorist attacks that took place at the Bataclan and in other parts of Paris in late 2015. After this terrible moment, Shepard Fairey wanted to imagine a lithograph in support, to show his solidarity with Parisians and the French. "Liberty, equality, fraternity - these are all things that democratic societies value" - according to him.
